Liz Leo was the graphic designer for the Magic R&D department between May 2014 and July 2016. She connected game design, art, and story into the graphic assets that framed the game of Magic: the Gathering, created print and digital products through cross department collaboration and saw card assets through from concept, to print test, to final review.
Conceptualized and designed card frames and expansion symbols for Magic sets spanning from “Magic Origins” to “Amonkhet”
Created the evergreen “Colorless Mana” Symbol.
Participated in world building for “Avishkar” and “Amonkhet”, fictional planes in the expansive Magic Universe
None of the work below was done in a vacuum. While Liz Leo was the key graphic designer, credits must go to the art director Jeremy Jarvis, the game designers, and the amazing Magic: the Gathering artists whose work is pictured here.
